What it costs:

A straightforward divorce currently costs £780.63 including VAT and the £340 court fees (you will also have to pay an oath fee of £5-£9 to a commissioner for oaths). Ask for an up-to-date quotation when you call. If extra work is required- for example, if we have to go to Court to get the petition served- it will be more and we will give you estimates as matters proceed. If you are on benefits, we can ask the Court to waive part or all of its fees.

Matrimonial finance is charged on an hourly basis. It is rarely possible to predict the overall cost of a case at the beginning except in very broad terms, but we will give you an estimate of what the next step (negotiating with your spouse or their solicitors, issuing a summons, instructing counsel, dealing with the next hearing) will cost as the matter proceeds.
